Sealing a roof feed-through
PUR Pro is an insulation and mounting foam with low post-expansion. This means that the foam swells by a maximum of 20%, with a very low expansion pressure. It therefore has a filling effect and everything is neatly fastened, but your workpieces aren´t forced out of their place.
PUR Pro is a fire class B1 insulation and mounting foam. That makes it ideal for sealing passages. So you remain in compliance with the regulations on the subject in an easy and cost-effective manner.
Step 1: Preparation
Moisten the substrate with the plant sprayer. This will give you a better adhesion. It also shortens the curing time.
Step 2: Sealing
Shake the can very carefully.
Screw the can of PUR Pro onto the gun. See the manual for this.
Squirt the foam cautiously, with the valve not too wide open.
Inject just less than a filling amount. Thanks to the low post-expansion you can dose correctly.
Step 3: Finishing
You can remove uncured PUR foam with PUR Cleaner and Powerwipes tissues.
Curing time (20°C): around 60 minutes.
