Repairing EPDM seam
EPDM can shrink due to weather conditions or wear and tear. This can result in an insufficient or even no overlap at certain seams. To prevent moisture problems it is important to reseal these seams. This is easily done with WP7-101 Universal Roof Sealing and an EPDM repair patch.
Step 1: Preparation
Cut the EPDM repair patch so that it has rounded corners.
Remove loose parts.
Clean the substrate and the repair patch with Multiclean.
Step 2: Sealing the seam
Apply WP7-101 to the seam with a spatula and spread with an adhesive comb.
Apply the EPDM patch and seal it with WP-101.
Finish with Tec7 Cleaner.
