Instructions

For detailed instructions for use: see the processing guidelines.

Points of attention:

  • ST7-101 SprayTec is suitable for thin bonding on flat surfaces. Irregularities must be less than 1 mm.
  • Apply to a dust and grease free surface. The surface should not be completely dry. There should be no visible drops or a layer of water.
  • Protect adjacent materials from overspray.
  • Test adhesion on plastics, powder coatings, exotic woods and bituminous materials.
  • Remove spilled product before curing with Spray & PUR Cleaner or Tec7 Cleaner. Cured SprayTec can only be removed mechanically.

Use

  • Shake vigorously at least 20 times. Hold the can upside down while doing this. Shake regularly during use.
  • Screw the can onto the Spray & PUR Gun and turn the dosage knob fully open. Fit the SprayTec Nozzle for an even spray pattern. Do a spray test on a test surface.
  • Spray from a distance of 30-50 cm. Use several quick passes for an even layer thickness or slow for a bubble effect with more irregular but thicker layer build-up.
  • Allow the sprayed layer to evaporate for at least 1 minute before bonding. Immediately after spraying, bonded materials are easy to reposition.
  • When using vertically: leave uncovered for 10–20 minutes to allow the initial bond to build.
  • Carefully join the materials to be bonded and avoid excessive force during curing. After 4 hours (at 23°C) the glue is hand-tight. Complete curing after 24 hours.

After use

  • Unscrew the empty SprayTec can from the gun and rinse the gun thoroughly with Spray & PUR Cleaner.
  • Store an opened can mounted on the gun with the set screw closed. This way the product can be reused for 3–4 months.
  • SprayTec can be painted over. Due to the variety of varnishes and paints, testing is recommended. The use of alkyd resin-based products can disrupt the drying process of both the adhesive and the paint.
