Application

Sills and window sills
Bonding interior and exterior sills made of natural stone or composite materials without the risk of staining.

Bonding mirrors in wet areas
Installing mirrors in bathrooms and changing rooms (applying vertical adhesive beads to allow condensation to drain away).

Signage and wayfinding
Fixing house numbers, nameplates, individual letters and advertising panels to façades or interior walls.

Floor profiles and transition strips (entrance thresholds)
Bonding transition profiles between two types of flooring (e.g. tile to parquet) instead of using screws, for a clean finish.

Sanitary fittings and accessories
Fixing toilet roll holders, soap dishes, towel rails or shower racks to tiles or natural stone, without drilling.

Acoustic panels and insulation boards
Installing sound-insulating or thermal insulation panels vertically on walls or ceilings, without clamps or struts.

Fitting skirting boards and mouldings
Bonding MDF skirting boards, decorative mouldings, cornices or cable ducts to plaster, concrete or brick.

Instructions

  • Processing temperature from -10°C to +40°C.
  • Apply to clean, dust and grease-free substrate.
  • Use Tec7 Prepare & Finish to clean and degrease safely, obtain the perfect finish, and to remove uncured Tec7 polymers. In case of heavy soiling, clean with Tec7 Cleaner and/or Multiclean.
  • Apply with manual or air caulking gun (best with telescopic plunger).
  • Due to the wide variety of different plastic materials and compositions, as well as materials that are prone to stress cracking, preliminary trials are recommended.
  • Test the adhesion to plastics, powder coatings, exotic woods and bituminous materials.
  • Start by strengthening weak and/or porous substrates with Poxy Primer.
  • Due to the diversity of varnishes and paints on the market we recommend preliminary tests. Using products based on alkyd resins may delay the drying process.
  • When glueing mirrors in sanitary facilities only apply vertical strips of adhesive to avoid stagnant moisture due to condensation.
  • Minimal thickness of the adhesive: 2 mm. Ideal adhesive thickness for optimal adhesion strength: 3 mm.
  • The spout features a V groove to allow you to dose out the right thickness of adhesive. Do not cut it off.
  • When applying, place the nozzle perpendicular to the surface.
  • Use the Tec7 Multigun for easiest application.
  • To achieve the strongest adhesion with the fastest curing time apply adhesive in strips (as opposed to glue dots).
