Treating a damp wall

Treating a damp wall

Injecting or treating a damp wall is usually a very time-consuming job. Sometimes you have to wait months before you can finish the wall completely.

With WP7-501 Basement + Wall Waterproof you can do this considerably faster. It immediately forms a moisture-resistant barrier, which allows you to plaster or paint over the wall immediately after curing.

STEP 1: PREPARATION

  • Mark the zone to be treated. Do this up to 25 cm above the damp zone.

  • Remove all the plaster with a hammer and chisel or with a rotary hammer.

  • Remove dust.

  • Now add the polymer cement in steps and mix it thoroughly with a cement/paint mixer.

  • Repeat this until you have processed the correct amount and you obtain a homogenous mass.

  • Respect a rest period of 2 minutes, then mix again.

  • The first layer must feel cured before you can apply the second layer.

  • Apply the second layer in the opposite direction of the first layer.
